Questions & answers

Choose your pictures

How do I combine library pictures with my own?

Use the coloring library when you want ready-made line art. Add your private creations after signing in. Use photos when familiar people, pets or places are part of your book. Create several pages together, then choose the results to keep. In “Add pages”, choose “Favorites” to select coloring pages you have saved while signed in. You can also use a favorite for the cover.

Can I start a book from a coloring page?

Choose “Make a book with this picture” on a coloring page. The maker adds the original drawing to your current draft and opens that page; it does not copy edits made on the single-page editor. A repeated picture opens its existing page. If the book already has 10 inside pages, remove one and try again, or start a new book. An unsaved draft is replaced only after confirmation; save it to My Library first if you want to keep it editable. Books already saved in My Library are kept.

Does the cover count toward the page limit?

A book holds up to 10 coloring pages plus an optional cover. In “Cover”, use “Choose a picture” to pick from the public library, your private creations after signing in, or pages already in the book. The cover picture can be different from every inside page; choosing it does not add a page or change their order.

Can I rename my book or personalize the cover?

Click the book title above the Pages, Cover and Preview tabs to rename it, without signing in. Press Enter or click outside to confirm; Escape cancels. New blank books start as “My coloring book”. Starting from a library book uses its title; adding pictures to an existing draft keeps your draft’s name. The cover uses the same title, and you can rename the book even without a cover. In “Cover”, add a creator name or dedication, or turn off “Include a cover” for inside pages only. When included, the cover comes first in Preview, PDF and print, followed by your chosen page order.

Arrange your book

How do I reorder or remove pages?

Drag the six-dot grip beside a page. Other pages slide aside to show where it will go; release to place it. You can also click the grip for move options; on a phone, tap it. Use the trash button to remove a page from this book without deleting the original picture. Choose “Undo” to restore it before leaving the editor or starting another book. Check the final order with “Review all pages”.

Can I remove all pages or start over?

Choose “Remove all pages” below the Pages list and confirm to remove all inside pages and their text. Your book title, cover, dedication and paper size stay; original pictures and saved creations are not deleted. “Undo” restores the whole group with its original order, text and layout. Use it before reloading, leaving the editor or starting a new book. If you add pages first, make room and remove any duplicate pictures before undoing; nothing is partially restored. For a book in My Library, removal and undo both save automatically. To start with a blank book and a default title instead, choose “Start a new book” at the bottom. Unsaved drafts require confirmation before replacement; books already saved in My Library are kept.

Can I write or change the words on each page?

Yes. Select a page and edit its optional title and text. You can do this without signing in. Edits save to this browser; books already in My Library also sync to your account when possible. Text moves with its picture when you reorder pages, but you may need to revise the story after changing the order. These edits do not change the original coloring-page details. The title and page text move separately. Click either on the page to edit it. Leave both fields empty for a picture-only page.

My words cover the picture. How can I move them or make room?

Click the title or page text to open its editor, then drag that text block within the print margins. Title and body move separately; arrow keys make small adjustments and Shift moves farther. For smaller words, open the settings button below the matching input and adjust its size. Body alignment changes lines inside the text box, not the box’s position. Page whitespace can leave room above or below the picture; it does not move your words. Check Preview for overlaps before printing.

Do text and layout changes affect one page or the whole book?

Editing words, moving text and changing settings normally affect only the selected page. Apply to whole book replaces the layout settings of every inside page in this book with the current page’s settings: title and body sizes, title lettering, body alignment, text positions and image whitespace. Each page keeps its own words and picture; the cover stays unchanged. Reset this page’s layout restores default settings and text positions on the selected page, keeping its words and picture. It does not reset other pages or undo a previous whole-book application.

Can I make and print a book without signing in?

No account is needed to arrange public coloring pages or export a PDF. Sign in to use private creations or save an editable book to My Library. AI photo conversion also requires sign-in and credits.

How can I return to my book later or on another device?

Edits are automatically saved in this browser on this device. We do not expire your book draft. It may be lost if browser data is cleared, private browsing ends, or the browser removes stored site data. To keep a new book in your account, choose “Save to My Library”; if prompted, sign in, then choose the button again. Signing in alone does not save the book. Once the book is in My Library, later edits save there automatically. Wait for “Saved to My Library” before opening it on another device. If saving fails, keep this page open and choose “Retry saving”. New Free pictures need your confirmation before private upload. A PDF is a printable copy, not an editable backup.

How do I keep the original book when making another version?

For a book already in My Library, choose “Save as a new book” before making changes you want only in a separate version. After the copy is saved, you are editing that copy. Changes already automatically saved to the original are not undone. You can also choose “Save as a new book” without signing in: sign in when prompted, then choose it again. For a new device draft, this creates its first book in My Library.

I want to start over. How do I keep this book?

In the maker, “Start a new book” creates an empty book with a default title. If your current draft or latest changes have not been saved to My Library, a confirmation appears before replacement. Cancel to keep working. If signed out, sign in, then choose “Save to My Library” again; signing in alone does not save a book. If signed in, save a new draft to My Library or wait for existing-book edits to finish syncing. Only continue once “Saved to My Library” appears. Confirming replacement cannot be undone: the current maker draft, including its title, cover and pages, is replaced. Books already in My Library remain there. A PDF keeps a printable copy, not an editable backup.

What if a picture is unavailable?

For a private picture, first check that you are signed in to the account that owns it. If it is still unavailable, use the trash button beside that page in the Pages list, then “Add pages” to choose another picture. For a missing cover, choose a different image in “Cover” or turn off “Include a cover”. Use “Review all pages” to check the book before exporting again.

Where will the words appear in the printed book?

Preview, PDF and print use the positions and sizes you choose. Text starts below the picture, but you can move it over the artwork. Check for overlaps before exporting, especially after changing the words, font size or paper size. Titles allow up to 60 characters and page text up to 240. If a text block cannot fit within the print margins, shorten it or reduce its size. Clear both fields for a picture-only page.

How do I save the PDF on my phone?

Keep this page open while the PDF is prepared. When it is ready, choose “Save or share PDF” if available. On iPhone or iPad, choose “Save to Files” in the system menu, select a folder and save. “Download PDF” is also available. If it opens a preview instead, use the browser’s share menu to save the file. If an in-app browser has no save controls, open the book page in Safari or your usual browser and download again.
