King’s Day

King's Day celebrates the Dutch king's birthday on April 27, or April 26 when the 27th is a Sunday. Orange clothing, street markets and outdoor festivities fill towns across the Netherlands. Crowns, canal boats and market scenes give children plenty of ways to explore the holiday in color.
