Look at the vehicle
Start with the simple dump truck or mini digger. Find the wheels, tracks or bucket that you can see in your chosen picture.
Choose a main color
Pick a color for the body, then add other colors to the parts. Move on to the roller, excavator or teamwork scene if you want more detail.
Tell a story on paper
Arrange your pictures and tell a “building a road today” story. Keep the activity on paper; it is not an invitation to enter a work site or operate machinery.
Another idea
With adult help suited to the child’s scissor skills, cut out a favorite vehicle and glue it onto another sheet. Draw an imaginary road around it and decide what happens next.
