Try the activity
Meet the animals
Start with the pig or cow-and-calf page. Name the animals you can see and choose their colors.
Look at the families
On the hen page, count the chicks. Compare the sheep and lamb, then find the ducks on the pond. You can color just one family today.
Tell a farm story
Choose an order for your pictures and tell a short story about a walk around the farm. Change the order in your print list if you like.
Another idea
Draw paths between a barn and a pond on spare paper. Put your finished pictures nearby to tell your story; these pages are not cut-out animal templates.
