The Sun
easy

Explore the Sun, all eight planets, the Moon, an asteroid belt and a comet. Single worlds offer broad coloring spaces; group diagrams help you follow the planets in order.
These are simplified, unlabelled coloring diagrams. Sizes, distances, orbit shapes and surface details are not scale measurements or maps. Read the page description to identify each body; Pluto is shown separately as a dwarf planet. For matching drawing features, choose the eight-planet picture with one single picture: Earth’s irregular land shapes, Saturn’s bands and wide slanting rings, or Uranus’s plain disk and narrow tilted ring.
Start with a single planet and use an astronomy book for colors, or invent your own palette. In the planet-picture activity, the selection window begins with four checked pictures. Keep the eight-planet page and one matching single page, confirm, then print the list or save its PDF. Find a land shape, band or ring on the single page and point to its partner in the group picture. Repeat a color on both; the pair compares drawn features, not real size or distance.
