Make Sunflower Coloring Bookmarks

Make two sunflower bookmarks from one craft sheet. Each finished strip is 6 cm wide and 16 cm tall, with space below the picture for your own marks or name.
Print the project sheets
Choose the paper size loaded in your printer. Print at actual size (100%) so the pieces match the measurements in this guide.
What you will need
- The sunflower bookmark craft sheet in A4 or US Letter, plus matching paper
- Colored pencils or crayons
- A ruler and child-appropriate scissors, with adult help
- Optional: thin card and a glue stick
Print the bookmark craft sheet
Choose the craft sheet that matches your paper. Print at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. Check the 50 mm line with a ruler before cutting. The linked coloring page is the original artwork; the craft sheet below arranges smaller copies inside bookmark outlines.
Color the whole sunflower window
Color while the sheet is still flat. Keep the complete rectangular sunflower picture, including its frame. Add a name, dots or your own pattern in the blank area below it.
Cut two straight strips
Ask an adult to help cut along the outside dashed rectangles. Each rectangle measures 6 by 16 cm. Cut the outer rectangle only, not the smaller panes inside the sunflower picture.
Make it a little stronger
For a firmer bookmark, glue the colored strip onto thin card and let it dry flat. Ask an adult to trim the backing to the same size. Leave off beads, thick decorations and cords so the bookmark lies flat between pages.
Try it in a book
Slip the dry bookmark between two pages without gluing or taping it to the book. If you want a shorter strip, an adult can trim the blank bottom edge while keeping the sunflower intact.
