A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Trace two eyes, two fingers and three individual fence slats. The uneven slat tops and tilted right eye are intentional.

Leave these areas connected

Retain the strips between the slats and the space below the eyes. The fingers stay visually separate from the fence instead of forming one broad opening.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Place the fence’s lower edge above the base of the pumpkin. Check both fingers at the sides; measuring just the two eyes misses the full width.

Print width: 165–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
