Captain Crooked Grin
Pirate Pumpkin Face — pumpkin carving stencil
A diagonal eye patch, a squint and a crooked grin create a little porch pirate. The strap is part of the patch silhouette, rather than a line across the full face.

What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
Trace the patch and its short diagonal strap as one shape. The squint and sloping mouth are separate openings, with a light tooth interrupting the mouth’s upper edge.
Leave these areas connected
Leave the tooth attached above the grin and keep the spaces between the strap, other eye and mouth. Do not extend the patch strap through those retained areas.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
Check the upper-left end of the strap and the far-right end of the smile: the face extends in different directions at the top and bottom. Mirroring flips the whole pirate expression.
Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
