What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Trace the two different eyes and all six block-like mouth shapes individually. The mouth pieces vary in angle to follow the smile.

Leave these areas connected

Preserve every light strip between the mouth openings. Cutting one continuous curve through the six shapes would remove the stitched effect.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Look at the six mouth pieces at actual print size before transferring. For fewer separate outlines, compare this with the three-opening grumpy face.

Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
