A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

The open eye, narrow wink, triangular nose and broad mouth are four separate dark shapes. The wink is a curved wedge, not a line to draw across the whole eye area.

Leave these areas connected

Leave the two light teeth attached to the upper edge of the mouth. Keep the strips between the nose, eyes and grin intact; the dark mouth does not include those teeth.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Check both tips of the wide grin against the pumpkin before transferring. Flipping the whole pattern moves the wink to the other side without changing the tooth connections.

Print width: 140–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
