A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

The head and loaf-shaped body form one broad opening. The short curved tail is a second opening; there are no eyes or tucked paw lines inside the body.

Leave these areas connected

Leave the crescent-shaped strip between the body and tail intact. Preserve the space between the ears without cutting extra facial features into the silhouette.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

This low, broad shape leaves more room above it than the sitting cat scenes. Check the tail’s outer edge when choosing a width, since it sits beyond the body.

Print width: 140–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
