What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
Transfer the cap and its attached stalk as one shape, then the lower nut as another. The nut tapers to one broad lower point.
Leave these areas connected
Keep the entire light band between cap and nut. It should remain a shell connection across the width, not a decorative line to score through.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
Compare the horizontal band on the 85 mm print before transferring. Center the short stalk above the nut so the acorn reads upright.
Print width: 85–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
