Follow these shapes

Remove the broad domed cap and the separate stem underneath. Trace the flat lower edge of the cap as shown.

Leave these areas connected

Leave the wide light strip between the cap and stem intact. The stem is a solid opening rather than a white support beneath the cap.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

At the suggested 85 mm width, the cap sets the whole design’s width. Keep both cap corners on the front of the pumpkin rather than wrapping them around the sides.

Print width: 85–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.

  1. Download the PDF and print at 100% or Actual size. Measure the 50 mm line to check your printer settings.
  2. Tape ordinary printer paper over a smooth area. Trace with transfer paper underneath, or mark closely spaced dots along the dark outlines.
  3. Remove the paper and compare your marks with the cut-and-keep notes above. An adult handles carving; use an LED light for the glow.
