What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
Trace the bat as one filled silhouette, including the ear notch and the curves under both wings. There are no eye holes inside the body.
Leave these areas connected
Keep the light notches under the wings open. The space between the ear tips must also connect to the shell above the bat.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
Start with a 95 mm print and check both wing tips. This bat is much wider than it is tall; enlarge it if the wing curves are difficult to trace.
Print width: 95–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
