What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Trace the outer arc and the inward curved edge as one continuous opening. The light area inside the curve remains part of the pumpkin.

Leave these areas connected

Keep the crescent’s open side connected to the surrounding shell. Do not complete it into a closed ring.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Although its suggested starting width is 75 mm, this moon is taller than it is wide. Check the full height on paper and leave space around both tapered tips.

Print width: 75–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
