A closer look at this pattern
What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
There are four separate openings: crescent, cloud and two stars. The cloud is a filled shape with a scalloped top, not an outline.
Leave these areas connected
Preserve the light space between the bottom of the moon and the cloud. The open crescent curve and star notches remain connected to the outside.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
Allow the long cloud to remain on the pumpkin’s smooth front. At smaller widths, inspect the two star points before deciding to transfer the whole scene.
Print width: 150–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
