A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Follow the outside of the cat, including the four feet and the hooked tail. The filled cat shape is removed; there are no eye or fur details inside it.

Leave these areas connected

Preserve the openings between the feet and beneath the belly. The light center of the tail hook stays open at its tip; do not turn it into a closed loop.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Leave room for both the tall tail and the head at the opposite end. On a round pumpkin, the belly and feet should sit together on the flatter front.

Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
