A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Trace each ear, eye, whisker and mouth curve separately. The nose is a small filled triangle; there is no large head outline to cut around the features.

Leave these areas connected

Keep the broad face area and every strip between the whiskers. Preserve the gap down the middle of the mouth instead of joining its two curves.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Measure from the outermost whisker tips, which are wider than the ears. Center the nose first, then check that both sets of whiskers fit without wrapping too far around the sides.

Print width: 140–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
