A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Cut the four frame bars and the central cat as five separate openings. The cat’s tail curves out to the right inside the frame.

Leave these areas connected

Keep all four window corners open between the bars. Closing them into one continuous dark rectangle would detach the large light area around the cat.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Check the complete outer frame, not just the cat. Keep the top and bottom bars on the pumpkin’s front rather than bending them over the shoulder or base.

Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
