What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Transfer the ears, two eye arches, filled heart nose and the large curved mouth. The heart is removed as one shape, not traced as a thin outline.

Leave these areas connected

Leave space between the heart’s point and the smile. Preserve the shell beneath each eye arch and between the ears and eyes.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Check the ear tips and the low smile on the same print. Keep the heart large enough to trace its two rounded lobes clearly at the selected width.

Print width: 140–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
