A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Transfer the dog and its raised tail as one silhouette, plus the two separate motion marks. There are no eyes or other face details in this rear view.

Leave these areas connected

Preserve the open spaces between the feet and beside the tail. Leave both motion marks detached from the dog instead of extending them into the tail.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

The motion marks reach above and to the right of the dog. Include them when checking the paper width and leave space around the tail’s rounded tip.

Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
