What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
Transfer the low head and forelegs, sloping body, rear feet and lifted tail as one silhouette. Include the open angles between the paws.
Leave these areas connected
Leave the large space below the diagonal body intact. Do not smooth across the foreleg notch or connect the feet with an extra dark baseline.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
The low muzzle and high tail sit at opposite ends. Check both corners of the print, and flip it to make the dog face a ball or another pet pumpkin.
Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
