What to cut. What to keep.
Follow these shapes
Transfer one continuous silhouette from the rounded head around both hands and the lower hem. Do not add eye islands within the dark body.
Leave these areas connected
Leave the light notches under the arms and between the hem points attached to the surrounding shell. These are outside the silhouette, not enclosed details.
Fit this design to your pumpkin
Check the raised hands as well as the head at the suggested 80 mm width. Increase the paper size if either arm notch is difficult to follow on your pumpkin.
Print width: 80–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
