Bleh, it’s Halloween!

Tongue-out Pumpkin Face — pumpkin carving stencil

Squeezed-up eyes and a rounded tongue make a deliberately silly face. A light arch separates the tongue from the grin, so the paper silhouette has two distinct mouth-area shapes.

A closer look at this pattern

What to cut. What to keep.

Follow these shapes

Transfer the two angled eyes, broad smile and separate rounded tongue. Include the inward notch along the smile’s lower edge above the tongue.

Leave these areas connected

Preserve the light arch between the tongue and the mouth. Joining these openings would remove the shape that makes the tongue stand out.

Fit this design to your pumpkin

Check the complete height down to the tongue tip. Leave room beneath the grin, and compare the separating arch on the actual-size print before transferring it.

Print width: 160–185 mm. Check the whole print against your pumpkin before transferring; this range does not guarantee the design will be easy to carve.
